Bridge House, 187 Tredegar Road, Bow. From the Pubs History website.
This Blog is for the most part the story of the family history of our own branch of the Eldridge family. The investigation of the ancestors of Hetty Jane Owen, the wife of Charles Albert Eldridge is now complete, and the tale has resumed with an examination of the line of Charles Albert Eldridge.

Alice Sophia Robinson
The last of Harriett Wombwell and Charles John Robinson’s nine children, Alice Sophia, was born in Poplar in 1846 and died in Brighton in 1918. Like her sister Clarissa, Alice married in 1871, just after the death of her mother. Her husband was Edmund G. Norman (1847-1906). In 1881, they were living at 15 Tredegar Road, Bow, Edmund a warehouse keeper in the docks. They later moved to Leyton. The 1911 census has Alice, now widowed, living in East Ham. They had four children, a rather modest contribution to world population growth by the energetic standards of the Robinson family.
